However, the name mysteriously vanished from tax and census lists for decades before making a prominent, permanent comeback in the Angara Roster of the 1480s.
The Gozo Connection: While found across Malta, Cini is exceptionally concentrated on the sister island of Gozo. Academic studies tracking regional distributions show it is one of the most characteristically dominant surnames in the Gozitan village of Żebbuġ.
